Independent lawmaker's ex-aide grilled over alleged bribery

A former aide to former ruling party lawmaker and currently independent lawmaker Kang Sun-woo, identified by the surname Nam, exits a unit of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency in the capital on Jan. 18, 2026, after being questioned over allegations Kang received a bribe from Kim Kyung, a Seoul city councilor, ahead of the local elections in 2022, allegedly in exchange for her nomination.
