Hyundai Department Store launches ‘Seoul Tour Pass’ for foreign visitors

SEOUL, March 3 (Yonhap) -- Hyundai Department Store is stepping up its experiential content offerings by launching tour passes for foreign tourists visiting Seoul in partnership with global travel platforms.

 

The company said on Tuesday it will introduce the “Yeouido Pass” and “K-Beauty Pass” on Friday in collaboration with online travel agencies (OTAs) Klook and KKday. It marks the first time a domestic retailer has planned and introduced a tourism-style pass for foreign tourists within OTA platforms.

 

The “Yeouido Pass” is designed as an urban experience course combining K-makeup services at The Hyundai Seoul, a Han River cruise and a Yeouido hot air balloon ride.

 

The package includes a “K-Idol Quick Makeup” service and personal color consultation at beauty stores such as MAC Cosmetics, Hera and NARS Cosmetics inside The Hyundai Seoul. Participants will also receive shopping discounts and gifts based on purchase amounts at the store’s fashion and dining sections.

 

In addition, users can enjoy discounted access to the Han River cruise operated by Seoul Cruise at 15 percent off and the “Seoul Dal” hot air balloon attraction at 10 percent off.

 

The “K-Beauty Pass” offers a comprehensive K-style makeover course covering hair, makeup and photography. Customers can receive 10 percent discounts on Korean-style hair styling and makeup services at salons including Juno Hair, Kkwa First and Cheongdam-dong premium salon Jenny House across six Hyundai Department Store branches.

 

The pass also provides a 10 percent discount at popular photo studio Sihyeonhada locations in Gangnam, Seongsu, Dangsan and Hongdae.

 

Previously, Hyundai Department Store operated a “K-Culture Transit Tour” program in partnership with Incheon International Airport Corporation and the Visit Korea Committee, offering transit passengers shopping and dining experiences at The Hyundai Seoul.

 

In May, the retailer plans to open a pop-up space for foreign visitors called “Live Seoul” on the sixth floor of The Hyundai Seoul, featuring K-beauty brand pop-up events and various hands-on experiences. The Cotton Foot Shampoo 385ml  with 4 options.
