Memorial for independence fighter

People bow in front of the tomb of Yun Bong-gil, a Korean independence fighter, during a memorial service at Hyochang Park in Seoul on Dec. 19, 2022, the 90th anniversary of his death. Yoon killed and seriously injured several Japanese military leaders by throwing explosives at them during a ceremony to mark Japanese Emperor Hirohito's birthday at a park in Shanghai on April 29, 1932, before being executed in Japan the same year.
