K-pop girl group TWICE has broken its own album preorder records with EP "Ready to Be," the group's management agency said Wednesday.

"Ready to Be," the band's 12th EP which dropped on Friday, surpassed 1.7 million copies in preorders as of Tuesday, heralding another million seller from the group after "Between 1&2" released in August, according to JYP Entertainment.

"Set Me Free," the main track of the album, is about a girl who falls in love, which makes her feel herself, and resolves to bet everything to protect her feeling of love, according to the agency.

NewJeans' winter single pre-release song "Ditto" has become the most number-one song on the daily chart of Melon, Korea's largest music platform, according to its agency ADOR on Tuesday.

Since the release of the song on December 19 last year, "Ditto" has topped the list for 78 consecutive times until the 6th of this month, surpassing the previous record set by BTS's hit song "Dynamite."

"'Ditto' has also remained at the top of the Melon weekly chart for 11 weeks," ADOR said. "This is also the longest record since the Melon service began in 2004."

NewJeans has won three awards at the 20th Korean Music Awards, winning three categories: Rookie of the Year, Best K-Pop Album and Best K-Pop Song.
