SEOUL, Jan. 26 (Yonhap) -- Shin Ji of the co-ed group Koyote will be tying the knot with singer Moon Won this May.

Shin Ji shared a handwritten letter on her Instagram on Monday, saying, “I want to formally announce the most important decision of my life—my marriage,” and added, “Moon Won and I plan to hold our wedding ceremony in May.”

She had previously revealed in June last year that she was preparing for marriage with Moon Won, a ballad singer seven years her junior.

Moon Won debuted in 2012 with the song "Let’s Live Together". The two first met when he appeared as a guest on "Single Bungle Show", a radio program hosted by Shin Ji. Their relationship later developed from colleagues into a serious romantic partnership.

In her letter, Shin Ji wrote, “As we spent time together, our bond deepened and our trust grew. I became grateful for having someone who is completely on my side, someone I can rely on, and through that, we’ve grown even stronger together.”

She continued, “I am fully aware of the affectionate concerns and worries many people have expressed,” adding, “We will not forget them and will continue to move forward step by step, staying true and consistent.”

Shin Ji debuted in 1998 as a member of Koyote and has released numerous hit songs, including "Pure Love", "Breakup", "Blue", and "Disco King".
