KOSPI soars
An electronic signboard in the dealing room of Hana Bank in Seoul on Dec. 14, 2022, shows the benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index (KOSPI) having gained 26.85 points, or 1.13 percent, to close at 2,399.25. South Korean stocks closed higher as a slowdown in U.S. inflation boosted hope for the Federal Reserve's less aggressive monetary tightening. (Yonhap)
