This photo, captured from the WeChat account of the Chinese Embassy in South Korea, shows a notice on the suspension of the issuance of visas for South Korean short-term visitors starting Jan. 10, 2023. The notice said the measure was taken against the South Korean government's "discriminatory" restrictions against Chinese travelers' entry. On Jan. 2, South Korea began to suspend the issuance of short-term visas for Chinese nationals and require PCR tests for all travelers from China as the virus explosively spreads in the neighboring country.
