Arrest warrant for students for trespassing at presidential office
A group of university students is taken to the Seoul Western District Court in the capital on Jan. 9, 2024, to attend a hearing to review the legality of their detention over their attempt to break into the presidential office. Police requested an arrest warrant for 16 university students, affiliated with the Korean Progressive University Student Union, a controversial student activist group, the previous day after they were apprehended on Jan. 6 while attempting to trespass at the presidential office compound to demand a special probe into President Yoon Suk Yeol's wife, Kim Keon Hee, and a meeting with presidential officials.
