Strategies to develop global hansik market

Kwon Jae-han, head of the agriculture ministry's agricultural reform policy bureau, announces strategies to strengthen the global competitiveness of "hansik," Korean cuisine, at the government complex in Sejong, 112 kilometers south of Seoul, on Feb. 2, 2024. Among the strategies are plans to propel the global hansik market to an estimated value of 300 trillion won (US$226.19 billion) and increase the number of Korean restaurants abroad to 15,000, including 100 high-end establishments.
