Snow-capped mountain range in northeastern S. Korea
A snowy Baekdudaegan Mountain Range in the background is reflected on Gyeongpo Lake in the city of Gangneung on South Korea's east coast on March 4, 2026, following heavy snowfall overnight. The mountain range divides the northeastern province of Gangwon into two regions, Yeongdong and Yeongseo. Gangneung falls in eastern Yeongdong, while PyeongChang, the venue of the 2018 Winter Olympics, is located in western Yeongseo. (Yonhap)
