Aide of ex-Ssangbangwool chief extradited from Cambodia

A close aide (C) of Kim Seong-tae, former chief of the underwear maker Ssangbangwool Group, is escorted by police officers as he arrives at Incheon airport, west of Seoul, on Feb. 7, 2023, after being arrested and extradited from Cambodia. Cambodian police took the South Korean national, only identified by his surname Park, into custody on the border with Thailand on Jan. 17. He is known to have served as a secretary of Kim, who was brought to South Korea from Bangkok amid several high-profile corruption investigations. The prosecution has indicted Kim for illegally delivering millions of dollars to North Korea for inter-Korean cooperation projects. (Yonhap)
