SEOUL, Sept. 8 (Yonhap) -- BLACKPINK's pre-released song "Pink Venom" stayed on Billboard's main single Hot 100 chart for two weeks in a row.
According to the latest chart on Thursday, this song ranked 53rd on Hot 100 chart, 31 places down from the previous week.
"Pink Venom" is a hip-hop genre song with BLACKPINK's unique charisma. It starts with a traditional geomungo sound and the fierce rap and piercing vocals convey the charm of all four members.
The song secured its second consecutive No.1 on two global charts, Global 200 and Global (excluding the US) charts, for this week to become the first female K-pop act to do so.
The K-pop quartet's second full-length album, "Born Pink," will drop on Sept. 16. "Pink Venom," a prereleased single from the upcoming album gained global popularity and attention is drawn to how successful full album will be.
