SEOUL, Oct. 13 (Yonhap) -- Netflix announced Monday that the Hong Sisters’ new drama “Grand Galaxy Hotel” will be produced as a Netflix original series, starring Lee Do-hyun, Shin Si-ah, Lee Soo-hyuk, and Lee Soo-hyun.
Written by renowned screenwriters Hong Jung-eun and Hong Mi-ran — known for hit dramas such as “Sassy Girl Chun-hyang” and “The Greatest Love” — the series will be directed by Oh Choong-hwan, who previously helmed “Start-Up” and “Melo Movie.”
“Grand Galaxy Hotel” tells the story of Eun-ha (played by Lee Do-hyun), who becomes the new manager of a hotel that comforts lost souls, and Sang-soon (Shin Si-ah), the hotel’s only human staff member. The show also features grim reaper Baek-gi (Lee Soo-hyuk), who cleanses evil spirits, and mysterious woman Seok-san (Lee Soo-hyun).
The premise is reminiscent of the Hong Sisters and director Oh’s previous collaboration “Hotel Del Luna.” The release date for “Grand Galaxy Hotel” has yet to be announced.
