Ahn Hyo-seop Cast in Netflix Animated Film 'K-Pop: Demon Hunters'

SEOUL, April 25 (Yonhap) -- Actor Ahn Hyo-seop will voice the lead role in the upcoming Netflix animated film K-Pop: Demon Hunters, his agency The Present Company announced Friday.

 

Scheduled for release on June 20, the film follows globally popular K-pop girl group members who secretly hunt demons offstage. Ahn plays Jin-woo, the charismatic male lead and leader of a boy band. He will perform all lines in English.

 

Other Korean actors, including Lee Byung-hun and Kim Yun-jin, have also joined the cast, though their roles have yet to be revealed.

 

The film is co-directed by Korean-American filmmaker Maggie Kang and Chris Appelhans. It is produced by Columbia Pictures and Sony Pictures Animation.
