SEOUL, June 5 (Yonhap) -- K-pop boy group SEVENTEEN appeared on the U.S. NBC talk show "The Kelly Clarkson Show" on Wednesday (local time) and performed their new song "Thunder," their agency said on Thursday.
Just like the title, SEVENTEEN captivated viewers with flashing lights and a dynamic, three-dimensional choreography layout. They also introduced a unique stage prop combining a public telephone and a defibrillator, symbolizing their message of continuing special challenges by connecting and sharing positive energy with diverse people.
The show’s host, singer-songwriter Kelly Clarkson, introduced SEVENTEEN as "K-pop’s ultimate performance masters." She added, “They’ve swept awards at numerous global ceremonies over the past 10 years and hold the best-selling album in K-pop history.”
SEVENTEEN’s 5th album, "HAPPY BURSTDAY," sold over 2.52 million copies in its first week according to Hanteo Chart, marking the highest first-week sales for any K-pop album released this year.
