EVNNE to release first single as five-member group

SEOUL, April 17 (Yonhap) -- EVNNE will release its first single "Backtalk" on April 20 after reorganizing into a five-member group, its agency Jellyfish Entertainment said Friday.

The title track "Backtalk" carries a message about forging one’s own path without yielding to others’ criticism, with all members participating in writing the lyrics.

EVNNE was formed by contestants from Mnet’s "Boys Planet" and had promoted as a seven-member group from September 2023 to December last year.

The group was later restructured into five members after Keita, Park Han-bin, Lee Jeong-hyeon, Moon Jeong-hyeon and Park Ji-hoo signed exclusive contracts with Jellyfish Entertainment, while Yoo Seung-eon and Ji Yun-seo returned to their original agency, YH Entertainment.
