SEOUL, Jan. 4 (Yonhap) -- Jangsu county announced on Wednesday that heart-shaped golden earrings of Gaya were excavated on the same day at Gobun-gun, Gyenam-myeon.
The golden earrings is a deep leaf shape with the width of 4 cm and has a chain and a little leaf decoration inside.
It has the biggest size among the earrings that were discovered from Gaya ancient tombs at Honam and Youngnam areas.
Golden earrings were popular accessories in Silla area, and the county explained that it is an important information that can find a connection between Eastern part of North Jeolla province and Gaya·Silla.
Jangsu county plans to hold additional excavation at Gobun-gun as part of Jangsu-Gaya Culutural heritage of Tourism Resources Development Project.
