SEOUL, Aug. 1 (Yonhap) -- In celebration of the 80th anniversary of Korea’s liberation, a visually rich video installation interpreting the joy of liberation is welcoming travelers at Incheon International Airport.

The National Palace Museum of Korea, in collaboration with the Korea Heritage Service and Incheon International Airport Corporation, has unveiled a new video titled "Liberation, 80th Celebration" on the Traditional Culture Media Wall in the arrival hall of Terminal 1, the museum announced Monday.

The Media Wall spans approximately 150 meters along the arrival area and features high-definition LED displays, allowing travelers to view the video while moving along the automated walkway.

The video reimagines traditional court paintings such as "Ten Longevity Symbols" (Sipjangsaengdo) and "Peony Painting" (Morando). The "Ten Longevity Symbols" depict elements like the sun, clouds, water, rocks, and pine trees, believed to symbolize longevity, while peonies—known as the "king of flowers"—represent wealth, prosperity, and peace.

Set in a gradually brightening scene, the video portrays animals awakening from slumber and peony flowers blooming in full splendor, symbolizing the joy of liberation and the promise of a hopeful future.

The museum will also host a giveaway event through July 3, offering traditional cultural items to 900 visitors who stop by the National Heritage Visitor Center in Terminal 1.

The video is also on display along the Eum-gil, the passage connecting Exit 5 of Gyeongbokgung Station to the National Palace Museum.
