SEOUL,

Her agency confirmed on Wednesday that the divorce had been finalized several months ago but was not publicly disclosed earlier out of consideration for their child.
Appearing on fellow broadcaster Jung Sun-hee’s YouTube channel the same day, Hong commented, “It wasn’t anyone’s fault that we separated. We simply decided it was time to live differently.”
She added, “Only after officially becoming strangers have we truly regained our friendship. He still comes over often, and our families, including the in-laws, continue to meet on good terms.”
Hong married a non-celebrity businessman in 2003 and has one daughter.
She debuted in the entertainment industry after winning the Best Pose award at the 2nd Super Elite Model Contest in 1993. Since the 1990s, she has built a wide-ranging career as an MC, DJ, and variety show star. In 2023, she received the Top Excellence Award at the KBS Entertainment Awards, and in 2024, won Best Female Entertainer in the TV category at the 60th Baeksang Arts Awards.
