SEOUL, Feb. 1 (Yonhap) -- K-pop sensation BTS has scored nomination once again as the “Favorite Music Group” for the “2023 Kids’ Choice Awards,” one of the pop culture awards in the U.S., the band’s agency Big Hit Music announced Wednesday.
The Kids’ Choice Awards is an award ceremony hosted by the American entertainment channel Nickelodeon, during which winners of an award for each category, including movies, television, and music, are determined mainly by voter preferences and other considerations.
The septet won their first award at the Kids’ Choice Awards as 2018’s “Favorite Global Music Star”; this mega-hit boy band then received the “Favorite Music Group” award in 2020 and since then has been winning the trophy for three consecutive years until last year. If the global superstar wins another award this year, it will be their fourth consecutive year as an award winner.
The multi-hyphenate stars won three gold medals, including the “Favorite Music Group,” “Favorite Song,” and “Favorite Global Music Star,” in the 2021 Kids’ Choice Awards.
The awards ceremony is set to air live on Mar. 4 at 7 p.m. (ET/PT) from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.
