SEOUL, Aug. 20 (Yonhap) -- Actress Jeon Hye-jin will return to the theater stage for the first time in a decade with the one-person play “Anthropolis II – Laios,” her agency Hodoo & U Entertainment said Wednesday.

“Anthropolis” is a five-part play by German playwright Roland Schimmelpfennig that deals with the tragic history of the royal family of Thebes in Greek mythology. Premiered in Hamburg in 2023, the second installment, “Laios,” is a one-person play in which a single actor takes on multiple roles.

Jeon last appeared in theater in 2015 with “Sumulsumul Chaimu – The Tale of Kkorisom.”

The upcoming production will mark the Korean premiere of “Laios” and will run from Nov. 6 to 22 at the National Theater Company of Korea’s Myeongdong Theater, directed by Kim Su-jeong.
