SEOUL April 13 (Yonhap) -- Seoul Metropolitan Council has awarded Choi Si-won a member of K-pop boy group Super Junior with the commendation from Seoul Metropolitan Council Chairman, addressed the council on Thursday.
Choi Si-won was awarded with the commendation due to his engagement in various investments towards social venture companies and startups under the name of social contribution which led to the growth of the industry.
Within the award ceremony various members of the councils including the chairman Kim Hyeon-ki, recommended person Kim Kyu-nam, and more participated the event.
The chairman of Seoul Metropolitan Council, Kim Hyeon-ki addressed “Seoul City Government is currently investing tremendous amount of money in to support the K-cultural industry,” adding “One of the leading figure of K-culture, Choi Si-won’s help will bring uncountable amount of benefit towards growth of the industry in the future.”
