LG H&H launches upgraded ‘On The Body Foot Shampoo’

SEOUL, March 3 (Yonhap) -- LG Household & Health Care has released a renewed version of its hit foot care product under its body care brand ON:THE BODY, significantly upgrading the technology applied to “Cotton Foot Foot Shampoo.”

 

First introduced in 2018, the product pioneered a new “foot shampoo” category, allowing users to spray fine foam directly onto their feet with a spray gun, rub and rinse — without bending down. Thanks to its convenience and strong cleansing power, it gained explosive popularity, with cumulative sales recently surpassing 25 million units.

 

Eight years after its debut, the newly upgraded “Foot Shampoo 2nd Generation” features major improvements in foam richness, spray precision and deodorizing performance. Compared with the previous version, it produces 1.5 times richer and denser foam — about 30 million micro-bubbles — to help thoroughly cleanse between the toes. The enhanced spray gun has also been refined to deliver foam more accurately onto the feet, improving user convenience.

 

The renewed formula contains a higher concentration of baking soda than the first-generation product, further strengthening its deodorizing effect. It also includes a patented fragrance designed to mask body odor, along with a Foot Soothing Complex formulated with hyaluronic acid, ceramide and panthenol at 40,000 ppm. The company said the product removes 99.9 percent of odor-causing bacteria while maintaining moisture after cleansing.

 

An LG H&H official said the company innovated both functions and ingredients with the mindset that “only Foot Shampoo can surpass Foot Shampoo,” aiming to provide a more convenient and healthier foot care experience. The official added that the brand will continue delivering differentiated customer experiences as the leading foot shampoo brand.

 

The product has been selected as a “March Olive Young Pick” at CJ Olive Young, a major domestic health and beauty store chain. The second-generation Foot Shampoo will be available during the Olive Young Pick promotion starting March 1, with special discounts offered at Olive Young’s online and offline stores.
