SEOUL, June 15 (Yonhap) -- Singer-cum-actor Hwang Min-hyun has been named the new honorary ambassador for anti-drug abuse campaign by the South Korean Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS).
As an ambassador, Hwang will be actively delivering messages educating the dangers and risks associated with drug misuse as well as the detrimental side effects of illegal drugs over the next year, according to the local regulatory body Thursday.
Hwang will also appear in a promotional video, titled “I’m not weak, We are strong!”, emphasizing how teenagers also have the willpower to overcome the temptation of taking drugs.
After it unveils during the upcoming 37th Anti-Drug Day ceremony, scheduled on June 26, the video featuring Hwang will be aired and uploaded on the official social pages of the MFDS.
