SEOUL, July 29 (Yonhap) -- The Korea Heritage Service (KHS) announced Tuesday that the "Royal Pharmacy at Changdeokgung Palace" will be open to the public from July 30 to August 17, every Wednesday through Sunday.

The pharmacy, historically known as Naeuiwon, served as the royal medical office during the Joseon Dynasty. Located within the Gwonnaegaksa area of Changdeokgung, it was fully restored in 2005 and has since been used for exhibitions and traditional cultural experiences.

Visitors will be able to explore the historic pharmacy and enjoy a tasting of omija tea — a traditional Korean beverage made from magnolia berries, which was favored by the royal family. Tea tastings will be available twice daily at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., with 100 servings offered during each session.

Admission to the Royal Pharmacy is free and open to all visitors to Changdeokgung Palace.

For more information, visit the Changdeokgung Palace website (https://royal.khs.go.kr/cdg) or call ☎ 02-3668-2300.
