SEOUL, July 9 (Yonhap) -- Hollywood block buster film “Top Gun: Maverick” starring Tom Cruise surpassed total of 4 million viewers on Friday morning which is its 18th day of screening, announced distributor, Lotte Entertainment.

“Top Gun: Maverick” has moved down a step in Korean box office after “Thor: Love and Thunder” premiered on theater, but it is continuously attracting an average of 100 thousand people per day, showing its long term success.

The sequel to the block buster film “Top Gun”, “Top Gun: Maverick” is a story about an American Navy pilot Maverick played by Tom Cruise returning back to flight school as a instructor.
