'Gungnamji Yahan (夜) Night' with light sculptures to be held until end of July

SEOUL, July 13 (Yonhap) -- In order to commemorate the 20th Buyeo Seodong Lotus Festival, Buyeo county, South Chungcheong province announced on Wednesday that it will be operating "Gungnamji Yahan 

(夜) Night" in Seodong Park (Gungnamji) area until the end of July.

The night scenery lighting was produced according to six themes (emotional, love, memory, cure, rest, and healing) for each division. 

Love and emotion photo zones have been prepared in various places, and welcome gates using LED sculptures are also created at the main entrances and exits to enhance the festive atmosphere.

The willow trees around Poryongjeong will be lit up in green light and the dreamlike atmosphere of Seodongseonhwa lanterns will be scattered throughout the venue providing tourists with an unforgettable night.

Storybooks and characters showing the love story of Seodong, a Baekje, who was digging for yam and Princess Seonhwa of Silla were also installed, providing a photo zone and shelter for the visitors.

"I hope you can enjoy the beautiful festival, full of emotion and romance in Seodong Park on a midsummer night," said an official from the county.

The 20th Buyeo Seodong Lotus Festival will be held from July 14 till 17.
