SEOUL, April 14 (Yonhap) -- Kangin, a former member of Super Junior, is known to have made the initial emergency call after comedian Lee Jin-ho collapsed from a cerebral hemorrhage earlier this month.

According to broadcasting sources Tuesday, Kangin had been on the phone with Lee on April 1 when the call suddenly disconnected. After repeated attempts to reach him failed, Kangin reported the situation to emergency services out of concern.

Lee had collapsed due to sudden symptoms of a cerebral hemorrhage and was transported to a hospital in Seoul without missing the critical “golden time,” thanks to the report.

After receiving intensive care in the intensive care unit, Lee has regained consciousness and is said to be gradually recovering.

An acquaintance said Lee was moved from the ICU to a general ward on April 10 and is continuing treatment.
