SEOUL, Feb. 10 (Yonhap) -- The Directors Guild of Korea (DGK) will hold the 21st Director’s Cut Awards ceremony at the Convention Hall on the first floor of Chungmu Art Center in Seoul at 6 p.m. on Feb. 24, the DGK announced Thursday.

What makes the Awards more outstanding is that Korean film directors will take votes to select the Best Director and Screenwriter, New Director, and Actor and Actress. The ceremony is also known for its unusually pleasant and informal style.

Director Kim Han-min of the 2022 Korean war action film “Hansan: Rising Dragon” and Park Chan-wook of the global sensation “Decision to Break Up,” along with Ahn Tae-jin of “The Night Owl,” Yook Je-kyun of “Hero,” and Choi Dong-hoon of “Alienoid” were nominated for this year’s Best Director Award.

Meanwhile, Kim Go-eun in Korea’s first-ever musical film “Hero”, Yang Mal-bok in “The Apartment with Two Women,” Yeom Jung-ah in “Life is Beautiful”, Lee Jung-eun in “Hommage,” and Tang Wei in “Decision to Break Up” will be competing for the Best Actress Award.

Candidates for the Best Actor Award were announced to include Ryu Jun-yeol and Yoo Hae-jin from “The Night Owl,” Park Hae-il from “Decision to Break Up,” Byun Yo-han in “Hansan: Rising Dragon,” and Jung Sung-hwa from “Hero.”

This year’s awards ceremony, which will be held offline for the first time in three years due to the COVID-19 pandemic, will also be streaming on Naver Now.
