SEOUL February 9 (Yonhap) -- K-pop girl group New Jeans has been nominated under the most amount of awards within The Korean Music Award.
Committee for the Korean Music Award has revealed the candidates for individual segments of the award ceremony on Thursday.
K-pop girl group New Jeans was included in six of the segments starting with “Rookie of the Year,” “Song of the Year,” “Album of the Year,” “Musician of the Year,” “K-pop music of the Year,” and “K-pop album of the Year.”
Moreover, producer 250 known to have participated in the production of New Jean’s “Attention,” “Ditto,” has been appointed as a candidate for 5 various segment with his full length album released on March of 2023.
Regarding the Honorary Award, South Korean band “Love and Peace” has been appointed, professor Cho Il-dong of Academy of Korean Studies addressed “Band ‘Love and Peace’ has well depicted the deep nature of the grooves within the Soul Punk genre.”

Candidates for the individual segments of The Korean Music Award are carefully selected by 54 of the committee members including number of music critics.
