Actor Yoo Seon-ho to leave reality show '2 Days & 1 Night' after 3.5 yrs

SEOUL, May 12 (Yonhap) -- Actor Yoo Seon-ho will leave KBS 2TV’s popular variety show “2 Days & 1 Night Season 4” after three and a half years, the program’s production team said Tuesday.

The production team said Yoo’s final appearance will air on May 31.

Yoo will deliver his farewell message to viewers during Monday’s broadcast.

According to the production staff, Yoo said during his final recording that “2 Days & 1 Night” represented “everything” about his 20s and that he was grateful to have gained older brothers who would remain with him for life.

The production team thanked Yoo for bringing youthful energy to the show over the years.

Yoo joined the program in December 2022 as its first regular cast member born in the 2000s.

Through the show, he won the rookie award in the show and variety category at the 2023 KBS Entertainment Awards and also received the grand prize alongside then-cast members Yeon Jung-hoon, Kim Jong-min, Moon Se-yoon, DinDin and Na In-woo. He later received the excellence award in the same category in 2025.

Yoo plans to focus on his acting career following his departure from the show. He is set to appear in the film “Teaching Practice,” opening Tuesday, and the musical “The Days,” which premieres June 9 at the D-Cube Link Arts Center.
