SEOUL, May 11 (Yonhap) -- Dino, the youngest member of K-pop boy group Seventeen, will release the first EP of his alter ego character Pi Cheolin on Aug. 3, agency Pledis Entertainment said Sunday.

The EP, titled "Gilboard," marks the debut release of the fictional character, described as the head of major music agency BOMG and a producer full of warmth and excitement.

Pi Cheolin introduced the upcoming album through a parody-style morning television broadcast video uploaded Sunday on YouTube, teasing a release with a distinctly kitschy and humorous sensibility.

The album title combines the Chinese character meaning "auspicious" with the English word "board." It also references the term "gilboard," which was used in the 1990s to describe popular music played on the streets.

Pledis said the title reflects Pi Cheolin's ambition to turn the streets into a stage and spread joyful energy nationwide while wishing happiness for everyone's lives.
