SEOUL, May 26 (Yonhap) -- South Korean actress Park Min-young has been cast in the lead role of "Confidence Man KR (working title)," the first Korean original series produced by Amazon Prime Video, the show's production company said Monday.
High Ground, the production company behind the project, announced that the 12-part series is scheduled for release in the second half of this year.
Confidence Man KR is a caper drama that follows three highly skilled con artists as they take down corrupt figures across various sectors of society. Park will play Yoon I-rang, the leader of the group and a brilliant swindler whose intellect places her in the top one percent.
Filming began in September 2024 and recently wrapped up.
“Park Min-young’s casting as the lead in Amazon’s first Korean original drama marks not only a major step in her career but also a milestone for K-content history,” High Ground said in a statement, urging viewers to look forward to the release.
