SEOUL, Mar. 28 (Yonhap) -- South Korean actor-cum-director Yoo Ji-tae will be giving Chung-Ang University a leg-up to hold its very first Central Blue Film Festival.
The upcoming independent film festival will showcase the works of undergraduate and graduate students as well as those who already graduated from the University.
Yoo, who finished the master’s and doctorate courses at the University, and has already delivered donations to the Festival, will be participating in its promotional activities. The veteran actor said, “It came across to me that this low-scale film festival will kick off for the first time this year, so I hope I could contribute at least a little bit,” adding, “I hope the festival will serve as a great opportunity for budding filmmakers.”
The festival will be held at Chung-Ang University’s Seoul Campus for two days from Mar. 30. A total of 18 enthralling works will be put on screen, followed by online seminars that will be held under the theme of “Future of Movies in the Era of OTT.”
