SEOUL, April 24 (Yonhap) -- Singer and actor Ok Taec-yeon, 38, will marry his longtime partner in a private ceremony in Seoul on Friday, according to industry sources.
Fellow members of his group 2PM will perform a congratulatory song at the wedding, while member Hwang Chan-sung will serve as the host.
His agency, 51K, said details about the ceremony and the bride will not be disclosed as she is not a public figure.
Ok revealed his marriage plans in a handwritten letter in November last year, saying he had promised to spend his life with someone who has long understood and trusted him.
He drew attention again in December when he mentioned what is believed to be his bride’s name during his acceptance speech after winning the excellence award in the miniseries category for "The First Night With the Duke" at the KBS Drama Awards.
Ok debuted in 2008 as a member of 2PM and began his acting career with the 2010 KBS drama "Cinderella’s Sister." He has since been active in both music and acting.
2PM is set to hold a concert at Tokyo Dome on May 9-10 to mark the 15th anniversary of its debut in Japan.
