Gold Crown Tomb is the name of the tomb given when a gold crown from the Silla dynasty was accidentally discovered during house construction in 1921. In addition to the gold crown, 30,000 more artifacts were excavated at the time.
However, the exact situation at the time of the excavation of the tomb structure or relics was not revealed as the excavation was not held officially, and the considerable damage of the tomb.
Accordingly, the city began restoring the gold crown tomb in 2015.
Unlike the Cheonmachong tomb which was restored in the form of a tomb, the gold crown tomb was restored as a modern building.
The city began construction of the gold crown tomb Preservation Exhibition Hall in December 2018 and the gold crown tomb Information Center in December 2020.
