SEOUL, Oct. 31 (Yonhap) -- Actor Lee Ji-han, who was on season 2 of Mnet "Produce 101," has died during the deadly stampeded in Itaewon.

His agency 935 Entertainment said on Monday, "Our beloved family member, actor Lee Ji-han has left us, becoming a star in the sky."

The agency continued, "Lee was sweet to everyone. He was a bright and innocent guy who greeted with a big smile on his face," adding, "please warmly send off actor lee who has left us so soon."

The news of his death got about when Park Hee-seok, also from "Produce 101," announced Lee's death on his social media. His sudden death is known to be due to Itaewon stampede.
