SEOUL, May 6 (Yonhap) -- Chang Byung-gyu, chairman of the board of directors, the largest shareholder of Krafton Inc., a S. Korean video game company known for developing PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds will distribute 100 billion won worth of shares he owns to all employees.

In an e-mail to all employees on the 6th, Chairman Jang said, "I am sending an e-mail as Chang Byung-gyu, the largest shareholder and natural person, not as the chairman of the board of directors," adding that he has decided to donate up to 100 billion won worth of private stock.

Citing that there is an employee stock ownership association system, but the benefits of donation do not return to employees of overseas subsidiaries, he said that he has decided to give private equity shares as a way to share his gratitude to all global members.

Chairman Chang is the largest shareholder with 17.47% of Krafton shares.

He plans to distribute shares to 700 new employees who will be recruited by September this year.

"I would appreciate it if you accept (this decision to donate stocks) as an expression of my passion and will for global customers, markets, and members," he said, "We hope that we will continue to work together to make a bigger and better company based on solid mutual trust,"
