Interior and Safety Minister Lee Sang-min, whose parliamentary impeachment was rejected by the Constitutional Court on July 25, 2023, visits a flood-damaged area in Cheongyang, 132 kilometers south of Seoul, as his first activity right after the court's ruling. The National Assembly passed his impeachment bill in February, citing the government's allegedly bungled response to a crowd crush that killed 159 people in the capital's Itaewon district in late October of the previous year.
