Enhypen reshaped as six-member group with Heeseung's departure
By Shim Sun-ah
SEOUL, March 10 (Yonhap) -- K-pop boy band Enhypen will be reorganized as a six-member group as member Heeseung decided to leave the team to pursue a solo career, its agency Belift Lab announced Tuesday.
The group, which debuted in 2020, currently consists of seven members: Jungwon, Heeseung, Jay, Jake, Sunghoon, Sunoo and Ni-ki.
Belift Lab confirmed that the transition comes as Heeseung shifts his focus toward individual activities. It did not immediately provide a specific timeline for his upcoming solo projects.
"We have carefully discussed Enhypen's direction and next goals," the agency said in a statement posted on Hybe's K-pop fan community platform Weverse, adding that the decision followed "deep conversations" about each member's future and the team's future path. "We recognized Heeseung's clear musical orientation and chose to respect his decision," it explained.
Heeseung, in a separate statement, thanked his bandmates and fans, saying he was preparing an album for his solo debut.
"I'll keep your love in my heart and keep moving forward," he added.
