4 major banks' profit soars

South Korea's four major financial groups -- KB Kookmin, Shinhan, Hana and Woori -- are forecast to report a record high net profit of 16.55 trillion won (US$13.2 billion) for the whole of 2022, up 14 percent from a year earlier, due to higher interest rates. (Yonhap)
