DAEJEON, April 8 (Yonhap) -- A young wolf escaped from a zoo at a theme park in the central city of Daejeon on Wednesday, prompting a search for the animal, officials said.
The wolf is believed to have broken free from its enclosure inside the Daejeon O-World theme park in the city, about 140 kilometers south of Seoul, at 9:18 a.m. after digging a hole in the ground.
The animal was spotted on a road at a nearby elementary school at about 1:10 p.m., according to the theme park.
