Actor Song Jae-lim found dead at 39

SEOUL, Nov. 12 (Yonhap) -- Actor Song Jae-lim, who appeared in the TV series "Moon Embracing the Sun," was found dead at his home Tuesday, police said. He was 39.

Song was found dead at his home in Seoul's Seongdong Ward at around 12:30 p.m. by a friend who had plans to have lunch with the actor, according to the police.

There were no apparent signs of foul play and a note was found at the scene, they said.

The actor's family told Yonhap News Agency they wished to hold a small funeral involving only family members and offered no cause of death.

Song debuted in the 2009 film "Actresses" and gained popularity through his role as a warrior loyal to the king in the 2012 drama "Moon Embracing the Sun."

He later gained further popularity while appearing in the 2014 reality show "We Got Married."
