Statues of Rhee Syng-man, Truman unveiled

Participants unveil the statue of South Korea's first president, Rhee Syng-man, at the Dabudong War Memorial Museum in Chilgok, 215 kilometers southeast of Seoul, on July 27, 2023, on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Korea War armistice agreement. On the right is the statue of U.S. President Harry Truman. The United States and 15 other nations fought for South Korea against invading North Korea under the U.N. flag during the 1950-53 conflict.
