Hanwha defense units to showcase AI military solutions at Saudi exhibition
SEOUL, Feb. 4 (Yonhap) -- Three defense affiliates of Hanwha Group are set to showcase their latest military solutions built on artificial intelligence (AI) technology at an exhibition in Saudi Arabia next week, the companies said Wednesday.
The defense affiliates of the conglomerate -- Hanwha Aerospace Co., Hanwha Systems Co. and Hanwha Ocean Co. -- will participate in the World Defense Show 2026 set to kick off Saturday in Riyadh for a five-day run.
The companies will operate joint booths spanning 677 square meters at the event, which is expected to draw 773 businesses from 76 nations.
During the event, Hanwha said it will showcase a comprehensive range of multi-domain defense solutions "designed to address the evolving security landscape of the Middle East."
In detail, Hanwha Aerospace is set to unveil its Laser-Guided Precision Weapon (L-PGW) system, a solution that transmits data via satellite and deploys self-destructing drones.
Hanwha will also introduce its Multi Mission Radar (MMR) for the first time, which will operate with other ground-based defense assets to tackle evolving air threats.
"All assets are synchronized through an AI-driven command and control system, enabling the coordinated management of multiple defense assets and rapid responses to complex threats," the company said in a release.
"By bringing our most advanced multi-domain solutions to Riyadh, we will demonstrate our commitment to being the Kingdom's most reliable partner," it added.
