Exhibition on traditional cosmetics

An employee tries out a traditional cosmetics product in a china case during a media showcase at the National Palace Museum in Seoul on Dec. 7, 2022, to unveil the interpretations of cosmetics found at the tomb of Princess Hwahyeop (1733-1752), a daughter of King Yeongjo, the 21st monarch of the 1392-1910 Joseon Dynasty, in Namyangju, Gyeonggi Province. The museum has developed two cosmetics products -- Princess Hwayeop Miango, a face balm containing camellia oil, and Mianjagi, a china device for facial massage -- following its analysis of the princess's cosmetic artifacts.
