Ahead of 'Daeboreum' festival
A group of volunteers prepares "ogokbap," a five-grain steamed rice, at a facility of the Korean National Red Cross in Suwon, south of Seoul, on Feb. 20, 2024, to provide impoverished people with the food four days ahead of "Daeboreum," a traditional Korean holiday that celebrates the first full moon of the year according to the lunar calendar. The five grains are rice, millet, Indian millet, beans, and red beans. Korean custom has it that ogokbap, when shared with three other homes, provides good health to the family. (Yonhap)
