Veteran journalist Hwang Jung-wook named new CEO of Yonhap Infomax
SEOUL, Oct. 10 (Yonhap) -- Yonhap Infomax, the financial news and information arm of Yonhap News Agency, named veteran journalist Hwang Jung-wook as its new CEO on Thursday.
Hwang began his three-year term immediately following the meetings of Yonhap Infomax's shareholders and board of directors.
A graduate of Korea University, Hwang joined Yonhap News Agency in 1990, and served as its Cheong Wa Dae correspondent and head of its Americas Bureau.
"We must build a strong foundation that can sustain Infomax for a long time," Hwang said in his inaugural speech. "We will need new infrastructure and abilities for new growth."
Also on Thursday, Yonhap Infomax named Bae Soo-yoen, its deputy managing editor, as its new executive director.
