Trump evacuated from White House correspondents' dinner following loud bangs

WASHINGTON, April 25 (Yonhap) -- U.S. President Donald Trump and other senior officials were rushed out of the annual White House correspondents' dinner in Washington on Saturday after some loud bangs were heard.

In a live broadcast, Secret Service personnel were seen holding guns and trying to secure the event hosted by the White House Correspondents' Association.

It remains unclear exactly what happened at the scene.

The dinner was attended by Trump, first lady Melania Trump, Vice President JD Vance and other senior officials.
