Funeral for ex-PM Lee Hae-chan
The coffin of former Prime Minister Lee Hae-chan and his portrait are carried into a funeral hall of Seoul National University Hospital in the capital on Jan. 27, 2026, with Prime Minister Kim Min-seok (C) and others bowing in respect. Lee, who was serving as a senior vice president of the Peaceful Unification Advisory Council, died at age 73 in Ho Chi Minh City on Jan. 25 after suffering cardiac arrest on a business trip to Vietnam.
